Maximizing the Potential of Gili Tramena, NTB Provincial Government Inaugurates New UPTD
The NTB Provincial Government officially established a Regional Technical Implementation Unit (UPTD) to facilitate and maximize the potential in Gili Tramena; Gili Trawangan, Gili Meno, and Gili Air.
The UPTD under the auspices of the NTB Tourism Office was also formed in response to the status of Gili Tramena, which is included in the national strategic tourism destination area. As well as national marine and marine conservation areas
"Alhamdulillah, now we have a new UPT under the Tourism Office to facilitate and maximize the potential of Gili which has been less than optimal management under PT GTI," said the Governor of NTBNTB, Dr. H. Zulkieflimansyah, S.E., M.Sc., in Mataram on Saturday, January 14, 2023.
The new UPT was explained by the Governor to be led by Dr. Mawardi, SH, MH,. A Doctor of Law who had served as the chairman of bem Mataram University in his time.
"Hopefully under the leadership of a new figure, the problems in Gili, especially Gili Trawangan, can be unraveled little by little after years without clarity, like there is a 'state within the state'," said Bang Zul, the Governor's greeting.
Bang Zul advised the new UPTD Leadership to maintain the safety and tranquility of Gili Tramena. As well as being able to protect the local community and always uphold the truth.
"Well, while the UPT and the Management are still fresh, let's continue to take good care of our Gili. The Minister of Land has come directly to Gili to hand over the HGB to the community and ask us from the local government to work with the community to maximize the use of this Gili," the Governor said.
